OHAO Receives Letter of Acknowledgement for 60th Anniversary from CPO

At the OHAO 2024 Fall Conference OHAO was presented with a letter of acknowledgement from Dr. Joel Moody, Chief Prevention Officer, MLITSD recognizing OHAO's 60th Anniversary and thanking occupational hygienists for the work they do. OHAO Special Meeting to Approve Proposed Revised Bylaws - Oct. 8, 2024

The Occupational Hygiene Association of Ontario is calling a Special Meeting on Tuesday, October 8, 2024 at or around 12:00 PM for the purpose of OHAO members approving a proposed bylaw revision.

The meeting will take place virtually on the Zoom Webinar platform and will include a one-hour members only webinar, the topic for the webinar and registration for the meeting will be opening soon. Proxies will also be circulated prior to the meeting for those who are not able to attend. Registration opening soon.

OHAO 60th Anniversary!

We are excited to be celebrating our 60th Anniversary in 2024! We have some big plans in place for a celebration and reception at the Fall Conference on October 24 - more details to come soon. We are also very excited to announce that a digital version of Pathfinders to a Profession will be released in PDF format at the Fall Conference and we are working on some other 60th Anniversary initiatives as well. Keep an eye on your emails for more details.

OHAO Mentorship Program is Looking for Mentors and Mentees!

Nominations for Hugh Nelson Award Now Open

The Hugh Nelson Award of Excellence in Occupational Hygiene may be presented annually to an individual who has worked or is working as an occupational hygiene professional in a full-time capacity. The recipient of the award will receive a cash award and a plaque. Nominations are now open for the Hugh Nelson Award. Click here for the details and nomination form.

There was a scheduling problem with the PDC speakers and the Spring PDC will be rescheduled, hopefully in April 2023. Details will be shared when available.

We have a great lineup of sessions for the Spring Symposium and we look forward to seeing our members at the AGM.

The OHAO Board of Directors have decided to continue holding our Spring Symposium/AGM as a virtual only option. This allows members from across the province to participate more easily. The Fall Symposium will continue as a hybrid option.

We look forward to seeing you there!

New OHAO Website!

We are very excited to be launching the new OHAO website. We hope this new website will provide a better experience for both members and the general public.

Some areas of the site are still under construction but we are looking forward to providing more content and useful information in the future.
