At the OHAO 2024 Fall Conference OHAO was presented with a letter of acknowledgement from Dr. Joel Moody, Chief Prevention Officer, MLITSD recognizing OHAO's 60th Anniversary and thanking occupational hygienists for the work they do. The Occupational Hygiene Association of Ontario is calling a Special Meeting on Tuesday, October 8, 2024 at or around 12:00 PM for the purpose of OHAO members approving a proposed bylaw revision.

The meeting will take place virtually on the Zoom Webinar platform and will include a one-hour members only webinar, the topic for the webinar and registration for the meeting will be opening soon.  Proxies will also be circulated prior to the meeting for those who are not able to attend. We are excited to be celebrating our 60th Anniversary in 2024!  We have some big plans in place for a celebration and reception at the Fall Conference on October 24 - more details to come soon.  We are also very excited to announce that a digital version of Pathfinders to a Profession will be released in PDF format at the Fall Conference and we are working on some other 60th Anniversary initiatives as well. The Hugh Nelson Award of Excellence in Occupational Hygiene may be presented annually to an individual who has worked or is working as an occupational hygiene professional in a full-time capacity. The recipient of the award will receive a cash award and a plaque. Nominations are now open for the Hugh Nelson Award.  Click here for the details and nomination form.
